Talia Chung Named University Librarian and Vice-Provost at University of Ottawa

University of Ottawa (uOttawa) has appointed Talia Chung as university librarian and vice-provost (knowledge systems) for a five-year term from October 1, 2018, to June 30, 2023.

Chung previously served as associate university librarian for research services at uOttawa. She was an ARL Leadership Fellow in 2016–2017 and a member of the class of 2013 of the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians

Chung will succeed university librarian Leslie Weir, who stepped down June 30, 2018 (see page 23 of PDF), after leading the library for 16 years. Joan Cavanagh served as interim university librarian since July 1, 2018.
