Member Session: Research Library AI Readiness—Opportunities and Considerations—Wednesday, August 30

Artificial intelligence (AI) has infused many sectors of librarianship with new opportunities and possibilities for the ways we provide services and build infrastructure. This technology has far-reaching implications for topics that research library stakeholders care deeply about—including research and academic integrity, workforce development, ethics and privacy, public services, information-literacy training and education, and much more.

In this member session, sponsored by the ARL Scholars and Scholarship Committee, attendees will learn the results of a recent survey among librarians on AI readiness, as well as hear from the US National Library of Medicine on their AI strategy. There will be time for attendees to share what is happening within their organizations.  ARL member representatives and senior leaders (AULs and ADs) are invited to register and attend this session on Wednesday, August 30, at 3:00–4:00 p.m. EDT.
