Privacy

Research library users should be free to read, research, and learn without surveillance. While patron privacy has long been a fundamental value for libraries, the digital world complicates traditional notions of privacy because of the vast amounts of data collected when users engage with technology, and the tensions between protecting privacy and enhancing user experience. We engage with policy makers, academics, and stakeholders to advance protections for consumer privacy data. We also provide educational and background information on various aspects of privacy policy.
