Tulane University Libraries
Presents two films that can be streamed for free via the libraries’ streaming services when students or employees login using their Tulane email:
- The Promised Land (1990) follows the events of Dr. King’s ambitious campaign for social justice in the year before his untimely death.
- Selma (2014) Ava Duvernay’s powerful biopic brings to life the historic protest marches led by Dr. King along the 54-mile highway stretch from Selma, Alabama, to the state capitol of Montgomery to advocate for the voting rights of Black Americans.
