Career Enhancement Program Alums

The Career Enhancement Program (CEP) was an IMLS-funded program that was active from 2009–2016. ARL received two IMLS grants to support the program (RE-01-08-0039-08 and RE-01-12-0033-12).

The CEP was a minority fellowship program offering master of library and information science students from traditionally underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups an opportunity to jump-start their careers in research and academic libraries by providing a robust, paid internship in an ARL member library. The program was designed to develop future library leaders through exposure to the major strategic concerns of ARL.
