ARL Senior Leaders P2P: Cross-Organization Coordination for Generative AI

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) and tools built upon large language models are of growing significance within research libraries. Since the launch of ChatGPT, many research libraries have been exploring library implications, as well as working across the organization to support researchers and administrators in developing policies, ensuring integrity, and supporting copyright and intellectual property questions. This Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Session for senior leaders in ARL libraries will be structured as a share-around on participants’ current or proposed approaches to exploring generative AI tools within the research library and the conversations happening across the organization to coordinate emerging services, policies, and strategy.
