Member Session on Institutional Open-Access and Public-Access Policies in a Changing Publishing Environment: Focus on Campus Strategies

Please join us for an ARL member session on institutional open-access and public-access policies with a focus on campus strategies, hosted by the Advocacy and Public Policy Committee (APPC) and the Scholars and Scholarship Committee (SSC) on Tuesday, April 11, at 4:00–5:00 p.m. EDT.

With new and expanding public-access policies and institutional open-access policies in place in many ARL institutions, a zero-embargo policy environment potentially implicates collections strategy, copyright, and campus collaborations. This member session will frame known challenges and potential points of friction among publishers, libraries, research institutions, and funders, and will provide space for members to discuss campus-based strategies to shape sustainable and equitable possibilities.

This jointly sponsored ARL member session is open to ARL member representatives and all members of the APPC and SSC. Member representatives may select one or two additional staff members to join the conversation (to keep the conversation at a manageable size).
