Gearing Up for January 2023: Institutional Strategies for Implementing the NIH Data Management & Sharing Policy—Free September 30 Webinar

The US National Institutes of Health (NIH) Data Management and Sharing Policy is set to go into effect in January 2023. As this is a new, broader policy, research institutions may need to build or enhance existing services and infrastructure to meet compliance and implementation responsibilities. This will require cross-campus coordination between the research office, the library, IT, and others.
On Friday, September 30, 1:00 p.m.–2:15 p.m. EDT, the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR) and the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) will co-host a virtual panel that will include representatives from the libraries, research, sponsored programs, and IT offices at Duke University and the University of Delaware. Panelists will provide a cross-functional perspective on how each institution is collaboratively developing solutions to implement the new policy.
We invite you to attend and hear from your peers about how they are coordinating institutional support, defining roles and responsibilities, and facilitating culture change at their campuses, followed by ample time for Q&A.
